It’s the end of week one back at work, we had a great break eating and drinking our way through the festive period. We said goodbye to 2017 and welcomed in 2018 we thought this would be a good time to reflect on all the amazing things that happened throughout the year.
Progression
We were really excited to say congratulations to Becky in September as she moved from Consultant to Senior Consultant. After working hard to hit her target every month she was over the moon with the promotion.
In October we saw Jack, long standing Farsight employee (4 years’ to be exact), move from Senior Resourcer and in house 'training pro' to Account Manager. Supporting Becky after her promotion, Jack now helps to look after her clients to allow her to time to take on more clients and candidates.
November saw Jess, our Senior Account Manager, take on some steps towards self-improvement and progression. She has decided to do an NVQ level 5 in management to support her future career progression.
Awards & accreditations
2017 saw a great year overall for the progression of Farsight. We were honoured to win the On The Tools – Best Agency award for the second year in a row, we become Exor accredited and got the chance to join the Construction Enquirer directory. Opening doors to even more exciting projects and opportunities.
Charity work
We all nominated a charity close to our hearts and the whole office got the opportunity to vote for which one they wanted the company to sponsor for the financial year 17/18. Combat Stress was the overall winner, a charity that supports veterans with mental health issues. We are now looking forward to our annual charity fundraising event on Friday the 2nd of February, this is a 60's night with the Krays. Food, fancy dress and a swinging 60's band, for tickets get it touch with us today.
Farsight baby
As a team we were all really excited to congratulate Jess Smith, our Senior Resourcer, on the birth of her first child. A little girl called Poppy who was born in July and who we are hoping will head up the future generations of Farsight.
M&E
Farsight welcomed Jacob Dixon and his M&E experience as he headed up a new department for our head office in Derby. After 12 strong years’ as construction specialist we decided it was time to branch into something new. Jacob is smashing targets and I’m sure we will be adding new M&E team members soon.
New team members
In recent months we welcomed two new team members to the office. Zoya and Jake who are working in our resourcing team helping to source candidates for new projects. Both getting on fantastically in their new team we are looking forward to seeing how they progress within the company, Jake has a keen eye on the sales department.
Overall 2017 was a fantastic year for the Farsight team but we are looking forward to an even better 2018. More progression, more growth and more awesome charity work. Happy New Year one and all.
