Possibly the quickest turnaround in Farsight history, newcomer Pip Gorringe takes over the role of Marketing Manager just 3 days after her first interview with the recruitment company.
“Tom and I ended up chatting for almost 2 hours,” Pip describes her interview with CEO Tom Dean. “I had done my research and written about 4 pages of ideas I had for the company’s marketing strategy, and how to take it forward; we spent a lot of time discussing each idea. In the end we had to cut the interview short as he had another meeting he was late for.”
The role of Marketing Manager is new for Farsight, based in Derby, and Tom is confident in Pip’s abilities to push the company forward at an even faster pace. “Pip and I get on very well, she understands exactly where I want the business to be, and we share the enthusiasm and strategic ideas about how to make that happen. We have a very different approach at Farsight, and it’s great to have someone on board who understands our values and can communicate them efficiently and consistently.” Concludes Tom, whose recruitment agency specialises in construction.
Pip comes from over 6 years of digital marketing experience with smaller companies and has a proven track record in return on investment. She is very much looking forward to getting her teeth into her new role.
“I felt very much at home the moment I walked into the office, then after my first week at the job I was applauded for a hard weeks work well done – not something that happens to staff at many companies!”
I think it is safe to say we can all expect great things from Pip and Farsight in the not too distant future!
