Farsight Recruitment has pledged its support to The Padley Group, a Derby charity that has worked with thousands of people in need of help and support since 1985.
Within the firms busy city centre offices, there is a collection box, in which visitors are encouraged to donate as they leave, and now the Farsight team - led by Director, Donna Butler and Sales Manager, Kate McManus - have visited Manager, Pat Zandora at Padley's Development Centre in Normanton to plan fundraising campaigns going forward.
The Padley Group has three arms - the Development Centre, which is a learning centre for those with physical, mental health and learning difficulties, the Homeless Centre, providing drop-in and a 10 room hostel service, and the Padley Group Shop - on Derby's busy Sadlergate.
"We have come up with some great ideas of how we can help Padley Group over the next few months," said Donna. "We can't wait to talk through our ideas with our staff and then all work together to do something really good for our community. Homeless could happen to anyone - we know we can help Pat and the team, and it is so worthwhile helping to raise awareness of the issue."
Padley Group will be 100% self-funding in the near future, having had statutory funding dwindle over the last five or six years. For more information on The Padley Group, please click here or find its page on Facebook.
