Farsight Recruitment continues to raise funds for local Padley Group’s homeless centre – this time, by hurling two of its team from a very high platform, attached to a slightly shorter rope!
Since the company’s Mighty Paintathon fundraiser was launched, at the end of March this year, staff at Farsight have been dreaming up different ways to raise funds for its JustGiving Page.
Abby Charleton, Assistant Manager, and Sam Adams, Resourcer, are both taking part in individual Bungee jumps in May and have pledged to donate all money raised to the Farsight fundraiser.
Sam’s jump opportunity presented itself when a colleague was no longer available on the scheduled date. After much internal deliberation, Sam put his name forward – he jumps in Tamworth on Monday 16th May.
“I am a bit of an adrenaline nut! “ said Sam. “I’ve flown a Microlite, Paraglided in Austria (pictured above) and flown a plane – they were all a little scary, but this terrifies me!”
Abby’s jump is a Chrismtas gift from her family. She has always wanted to try a bungee jump, but is also a little apprehensive.
“I’ve been on extreme rides in the USA, so love the excitement, but think a bungee jump is much scarier than a ride!” She says.
“The jump has been paid for, so everything I raise goes into the Padley pot!”
Abby is taking a few Farsight cheerleaders along for moral support as she takes the plunge on Sunday 22nd May.
“I’m excited now, but know I will be nervous when I get there! It’s great having my friends from the office coming to support me – but that’s making me determined not to scream.” She smiled.
